Integrated Solutions for Pipelines

For the gas and liquid pipelines segment, Fluxo, together with its associated company Automind, has an integrated solution for the complete automation of industrial plants. It comprises from marine and train & truck loading arms, metering stations, pressure reduction systems, city gates, valves and electric, electro-hydraulic, pneumatic and gas hydraulic actuators, clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters and leak detection systems, additivation systems, in-line sampling and blending systems, multiphase metering systems, tank telemetry systems, oil in water monitors and vapor recovery units and flares, to the SCADA system for pipeline control and supervision, all of them with automation engineering and local service support.

| 3.
Integrated Solutions for Terminals Automation |
|
| Fluxo, together with Automind, is skilled in supplying turn-key projects of complete marine or land terminals, for ships loading/unloading, trains and trucks loading. Its supply begins with marine loading arms, passes by flow metering, in-line sampling, tanks telemetry, two wire control system, ultrasonic flowmetering, in line products blending, oil on water detection. Also, it has the capability to provide the following equipment/systems to marine terminals: piggable loading arms and manifolds that allow reducing the arms quantity due to a completely smooth interior finish so that the pig leaves the pipe completely clean and free from product residue. Additionally, Fluxo is able to supply complete loading/unloading solutions to onshore terminals, allowing the user to reduce the terminal operation to only one operator. Furthermore, supplies vapor recovery units and flares whose use complies with the Environmental Protection Agency regulations. |

| 4. Fluxo’s Solution for the Transport of Alcohol by Pipeline |
|
Transporting alcohol by pipeline is a solution for the current high costs of transportation. Pipelines will be built to transport the predicted increase in production of alcohol in the coming years. They will have the capacity to transport large quantities of the product and end the dependence on trucks and trains. In addition, the choice of pipelines for transport of the product means that distilleries will need to be equipped for fiscal and qualitative mensuration.
Fluxo Solutions are already well established in the transport of hydrocarbons by pipeline and can be adapted for alcohol transportation. Fiscal metering is carried out at the distillery exit, in addtion to continuous in line sampling at the pipeline entrance to ensure the quality of the product for the parties involved and to double-check the metered data. |

| 5. Solution for Quantitative and Qualitative Inventory of Alcohol Production |
|
The Fluxo Solution for Inventory Control is used by Petrobras in 80% of its refinery tanks and 60% of it terminal tanks. The solution is also in place at many independent terminals and at all BR Distributer termimals, many of which are used for alcohol storage. The system is based on radar technology. It measures tank levels accurately, allowing the tanks to be used at their full operational capacity, safely, while enabling the inventory of each tank to be controlled in real time by the distillery or even the owners, directly from wherever they may be via Internet. "Control and precision mean profit”.
The solution for Mensuration and Continuous Control of Quality and Volume of Alcohol leaving the distillation columns avoids the need for any intermediary storage operation as alcohol produced within the required specifications goes straight to the storage tanks. Any product outwith the specifications goes back for distillation, saving time and money. All alcohol leaving the columns, within or outwith the specifications, is meausured by volume at 20º C. |

| 6. Fluxo Solution for the Automation of Truck Loading |
|
| This is one of the most vulnerable parts of the distillery. The secret of this solution is that the alcohol loaded in the truck is measured directly, by volume, and the information is sent over digital network for the invoice to be issued. The Fluxo Solution gives the driver authorization at the distillery entrance. The driver is given a password that enables him to load the truck with alcohol. When the operation has been completed at the loading platform the information is sent to the distillery’s fiscal software and the invoice is printed with the volume of the load and the price. From the truck’s arrival to its departure, the system is operated and controlled automatically with no human intervention. |
